Vitamin C and blood glucose

New research from Deakin University, promoted by Diabetes Australia suggests that a high dose of Vitamin C may significantly reduce elevated blood glucose after meals and may also reduce raised blood pressure levels and cardiovascular risk in people with type 2 diabetes.

More people prone to the flu this year

There are yet more media reports and data to suggest we are in for a flu season much worse than last year with health experts urging people to have a flu vaccination.

Health Direct Australia suggests now is a very good time to be vaccinated. It can take two to three weeks after the vaccination to develop immunity. The flu season in Australia usually runs from June to September, peaking in August. Read more

Changes to Clever Care NOW Board

We are pleased to welcome three new members to the Board of Clever Care NOW: Debbie Crowley, Dr Michelle Julian, and Robert Jordan AM, all of whom bring an array of experience and skills to our organisation.

Debbie is a local business woman with more than 18 years experience in board directorship and governance with several non-profit organisations. Michelle brings industry knowledge as a local Geriatrician (Aged Care Specialist) and Robert’s commercial acumen from his many years as Managing Director of Westfield, position us well for the future.
