Thank you to everyone who joined us at our first Ready to Open Day a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time meeting new families and talking to the children who enjoyed story time, craft and face painting.

“Mum I have made some tickets for your Clever Care NOW Day Tripper bus. The people on the bus can hand these to the bus driver before each trip. I’ve even drawn a barcode to scan” says creative and thoughtful seven-year-old Bowie, son of one our CCN team.

Our Clever Care NOW mobile nursing service has been in operation for 60 years. Originally Rockdale Community Mobile Nursing Service, we have been more commonly known as Nurses On Wheels before our change of name last year to Clever Care NOW.

If you follow us on email or socials you would have read about the spike in summer flu this year. The overall increase in diagnosed cases of the Flu in NSW and across the nation compared to the same time last year (a whopping 300% increase in NSW!).

With all our talk about the flu, you may be wondering when the best time is to get a flu shot?

Strains of the influenza virus circulating around the community often change from year to year. This, plus the fact that flu vaccinations are relatively short lived in comparison to other vaccinations (such as tetanus), means it is important to be vaccinated against the flu each year.

NOW receives grant for new bus

Nurses On Wheels has been presented with $50,000 from Bayside Council via the State Government’s Stronger Community Fund Grants. Over $500,000 was awarded to 15 local community groups at a function on Thursday, 22 February.

Nurses On Wheels has rebranded to Clever Care NOW

On Wednesday 10 October 2018, Mark Speakman SC MP, NSW Attorney General officially opened our new Caringbah office and launched Clever Care NOW (formerly Nurses On Wheels).
