The best of care for an ageing community
Australians are living longer, in fact Australia has the third highest life expectancy in the world* behind Japan and Switzerland, but with that comes a high rate of chronic disease and age-related conditions.
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare report half of Australians have a common chronic health condition such as diabetes, heart disease, a mental illness or cancer.
It is important as people age; they have choice about their care. With the royal commission into aged care in the spotlight, and with growing Government support through Aged Care Packages and The Increasing Choice in Home Care reforms, there is growing demand for care at home.
At a local community level, we are seeing an increase in home nursing care. In fact, in May we had the highest number of nursing patient visits and service hours delivered in the last 12 months.
We are privileged to be able to provide the very best of care for those most vulnerable in our community. For more information about our home nursing, post-operative care and patient transport, contact our Nursing Program Manager on 9502 3422.
