Ready to Read School Holiday Program

Ready to Read Community Literacy Program will be offering a short holiday program during the 2019 July school holidays. The program is designed for children who are starting school in 2020, as well as those who currently attend classes as revision.

The holiday program will provide an introduction to literacy skills, including:

 

  • Phonics / phonemic awareness
  • Phonological awareness (rhyming and syllables)
  • Concepts about print and sentence construction
  • Handwriting
  • Blending

Lessons will take place over two days, for two hours each day (total program length four hours); and will be taught by qualified and accredited Ready to Read teachers.

DATES AND TIMES

Hurstville
Monday 15 July and Tuesday 16 July 2019
Time:          10:00am to noon
Location:   Penshurst Anglican Church, 2 Carrington Street, Penshurst. Ready to Read utilises the downstairs classroom. Onsite parking is available.

Caringbah
Wednesday 17 July and Thursday 18 July 2019
Time:        10:00am to noon
Location:  Ready to Read in partnership with Clever Care Now, Suite 3, 355-359 Kingsway, Caringbah
