Help for isolated seniors – personal monitoring systems

To help older, vulnerable Australians feel safe and to provide peace of mind to families and carers, the Federal Government is providing more access to personal monitoring systems for seniors during self-isolation.

Through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, service providers and recipients of home care packages will be able to choose from a range of monitoring and alert services to support older Australians living at home.

Via automated technology or at the push of a button, the monitoring systems send an alert to a staffed centre or family member in an emergency.
