End of life caring

In Home Care Sutherland Shire

Research studies show that carers who are more informed are better prepared for their role. There are various resources available to support those caring for people nearing the end of life.

Many family carers are living their first experience of supporting someone who is at the end of life and may feel overwhelmed. It is important to know that there is help available.

CarerHelp is a project led by the Centre for Palliative Care at St Vincents Hospital Melbourne and the University of Melbourne. It provides access to information, tools, articles and videos for carers. For more information see the CarerHelp website www.carerhelp.com.au.

Health Direct, a government-funded service, provides directories of palliative care service providers as well as a range of national and state resources to assist carers.

Clever Care NOW provides home nursing palliative care and nurse assisted transport for end of life experiences. Our qualified, compassionate and highly skilled home nursing staff ensure that needs are met with dignity and understanding.

We also provide nurse assisted transport for those nearing the end of their life wanting to visit family or a special place. We can help make their final wish a very special one to be cherished by all. Supported by our professional nurses, we take care to ensure comfort and respect during these special moments.
