Update 1 July 2020: The return of our Day Tripper service will wait a little longer. Due to the recent outbreak in Victoria, we will keep our Day Tripper program on hold until we review the situation again in mid July. We hope to open up bookings again soon.

Our Day Tripper door to door social outings for seniors will return from 6 July.

Whilst we are pleased to open bookings for our Day Tripper bus once again, it will be a modified program to allow our clients to socialise safely and ensure the utmost precaution and care is taken.

Initially, our Day Trips will operate five days per week to mostly outdoor locations and shopping trips. As always, our friendly caring staff includes a nurse on board who will be managing and following social distancing and hygiene guidelines.

There is much research and evidence that supports socialising at any age, but is even more important when we are older. A strong social life has been linked with many health benefits including less likelihood of depression and a longer life span. Some older adults may become more sedentary but it is very important to get out and about and engage with other people.

We are very privileged to offer a professional, caring and supportive Day Tripper service to our local community to enable them to remain social. We are excited that our service will resume soon and look forward to seeing our Day Trippers once again.
