60 years of caring for the community!

On 6 November 2019, Clever Care NOW officially celebrated turning 60 with clients, supporters, community partners and local members of parliament at Club Central Menai. Watch the highlights of our celebration here.

A big thank you to the President and Board of Club Central Menai and Hurstville for their generous $200k contribution to Clever Care NOW in support of our home nursing service, day tripper and nursing packages for hardship patients.

We must also thank The Mayor of Sutherland Shire Council, Councillor Carmelo Pesce for launching our event, Lee Evans MP for officiating and Eleni Petinos MP for your kind words and support.

Thank you also to Craig Kelly MP, Attorney General Mark Speakman and Councillor Tom Croucher for joining us.

A huge thank you to our team of nurses who were part of our event and are an essential part of our longevity and success.

We are proud to still be caring for those most in need in this our 60th year, to have broadened our reach to the wider St George area and Sutherland Shire and continuing to expand our services over the coming years.

We are committed to our mission of caring for the community’s health and social wellbeing. It is our privilege to care for many local residents in their own homes and provide social outings and transport to encourage community connection and independence.

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare report half of Australians have a common chronic health condition such as diabetes, heart disease, a mental illness or cancer.

In celebration of our 60th year, we share with you some of our Nurses On Wheels / Clever Care NOW milestones. This month we take a look back to where it all began.

NOW receives grant for new bus

Nurses On Wheels has been presented with $50,000 from Bayside Council via the State Government’s Stronger Community Fund Grants. Over $500,000 was awarded to 15 local community groups at a function on Thursday, 22 February.

Nurses On Wheels has rebranded to Clever Care NOW

On Wednesday 10 October 2018, Mark Speakman SC MP, NSW Attorney General officially opened our new Caringbah office and launched Clever Care NOW (formerly Nurses On Wheels).

It’s OK to have home care
